"Rev. Nana Kwesi Essel-Okyeahene is undoubtedly a man of many parts. A Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Practitioner, Technocrat, an Entrepreneur, Plantation Farmer and a Local Gospel Preacher with skills in team leading."

He holds a BSc Administration from the University of Ghana and an MSc. in NGO Studies and Management from the University of Cape Coast. He studied for his professional accounting qualification at the Institute of Professional Studies-IPS Legon.

He undertook Leadership Training and Management Courses in London-UK, South Africa, and GIMPA. Sponsored by InWent (Germany) to study Revenue Management in 2006, he was later appointed Head of Revenue Unit of VAT Service (now GRA).

Career & Leadership

Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA)

Worked for over 25 years, rising to the rank of Assistant Commissioner. Headed the Revenue Unit for 14 years (2006-2020) and authored many Accounting Manuals.

Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG)

Served as Council Member (2011-2022), Treasurer, and Vice President. Instrumental in the passage of the CITG bill into the Acts of Parliament in 2016.

Teaching & Academia

Lectured at Takoradi Technical University (Management Accounting). Pioneer lecturer at the ACCA Training School at Takoradi Workers College. Adjunct Lecturer at GRA Tax Training School.

Philanthropic Works

Provided scholarships and bursaries to over 300 pupils.
Financed Teachers to pursue higher education.
Provided street lights in American Town, Kasoa.
Donated classroom desks to 3 public schools.
Built a community KVIP facility for Gomoa Wassah/Nkran.
Renovated the Mosque at Gomoa Nkran/Wassah.
Roofed and Painted the Good Shepherd Methodist Church.
Donated cash for fire tender to Ghana National Fire Service.
Contributed heavily to Bethel Methodist Church roofing.
Donated to Sunday school project at Gomoa Potsin.
Constructed road linking American Town to Kasoa high tension.
Donations to Fiaseman SHS and Gomoa Senior High Tech.

Farming

Dr. Essel-Okyeahene owns large acres of farmlands producing cocoa, plantain, maize, pepper, coconut, oranges, and more. He is a passionate plantation farmer contributing to agriculture.

Religion

A devoted Christian and local preacher. Currently sole financier of a 2,000-seater Church Auditorium and Event Centre at Kasoa. Has served as chapel steward and chaplain in the Methodist church for many years.
